Using the Collaborative Family Law (CFL) approach to your separation may be right for you. Litigation is expensive, time consuming and not your only option. You will have my expertise to advise you and help you achieve your goals, but in a non-adversarial, dignified and cooperative setting. The framework of this approach is that both you and your spouse agree to work towards a settlement, without resorting to litigation. We would, along with your spouse and their lawyer, work together to achieve a fair settlement. The goal is a win-win result, being a settlement acceptable to both you and your spouse. In a litigation context, the result is placed in the hands of a Judge, not you. Most people would rather resolve the issues arising from their separation on their own terms, privately, if they were given the opportunity to do so. This is one such opportunity.
