I
graduated from Queens’ Law School in 1978 and was called to
the Bar of Ontario in 1980.
I have been practicing primarily in the area of Family
Law since July 1981. I also carry on a Family Mediation
practice and am a member of Ottawa Board of Directors of the
Ontario Association of Family Mediation and am a member in
good standing of Family Mediation Canada and have a
Certificate in Arbitration from the Arbitration and Mediation
Institute of Ontario.
Most
recently, I have become very excited about the new initiative
of Collaborative Family Law.
I am convinced that Collaborative Family Law will prove
to be a further and better alternative dispute resolution
model for many people wrestling with family law issues
following separation. In
my the view the Collaborative Family Law approach presents a
much preferred alternative to the traditional and adversarial
litigation process and am proud to be a founding member of the
Ottawa Collaborative Family Law practice panel.
