Barbara Cohen has practised exclusively in the area of Family Law since her call to the Bar in 1991.

Barbara’s practice over the years has included collaborative family law, mediation and litigation. In her litigation practice she has witnessed the huge financial and emotional cost of this process. As a result, she has moved the focus of her practice toward collaborative family law and mediation where determining and serving the interests of the parties and children are paramount.

As previous president, Barbara Cohen remains very involved within the Ottawa chapter of the Ontario Association for Family Mediation.
